Apparently....

ALOT. We are a country full of people all trying to blame the other guy. Why is it we can't take responsibilty for our own blunders, misconceptions, false information, short-comings and down right stupidity. I can. I have made a million mistakes and I plan to make a million more. I honestly look forward to it. Why? Because it teaches me humility, respect, understanding, perspective and above all ... honesty. I grow, adapt and change with every single day and sometimes think others may do the same, even my dictorial leader... Geo Bush.
But I will go on dreaming. Apparently he has learned nothing from his six years in the White House. Before 9/11 during GHB's firsat few months in office our govrn'mt had info on Osama, plots, plans and intentions. Nothing happened and as a result 9/11 occured. Since then after invading Afganistan and almost wiping out the Taliban, we invade Iraq (because of WMD's and a solid connection with terroist organizations according to B & C (Bush and Cheney))and pull forces fighting the Taliban to aid U.S. troops in Iraq. After almost 4 years the Taliban is back and playing for keeps, while day by day, Iraq is becoming a frightening nightmare. Why? Our leaders planned it all out, right? (Mr. Rumsfeld and company) but didn't heed the words of our bonafided and battle tested Generals. He just did what he wanted to do. Sure Congress gave their approval, but when have they ever done anything for America. Last thing they did good, was to outlaw segregation some 40+ years ago. Sorry ...forgot the balanced budget under Slick Willie.
When were U.S. troops greeted as liberators? as forteold. Where are the WMD's? still looking I guess. We had a bit of tussle with the weather..and our leaders prepared us so well. God rest all the folk who died in Katrina. It's a shame they died that way, when they did not have to. Then of course the aid started pouring in.. oops..my bad...what aid.
Between 9/11 and Katrina we had the Patriot act. Ok.. we are now protected, but at the cost of the... lose of.. oh yeah.. OUR CONSTITUTION AND BILL OF RIGHTS. I'll sum up a abit..
NSA spy and wiretap program, Newt Gingrich, Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff and millions in campaign contributions, shooting people in the face, Geneva convention stripping and sanctioned torture, congressional page sex scandel...and I am sure I missed a few. This is because I don't have the resources of Bill O'Reilley to get all my info correct.... yeah right. Fox should be banned in intelligent countries. Outside of House and 24 they haven't had a decent program in years.
I try to say informed about the world by watching NBC, MSNBC, Imus, Nightline, 60 minutes and more. Spreading it out throughout the day...about 4 or 5 hours daily. So I can know what may be happening. Anyway...
I voted for GWB and the fat guy the first time around and soon after learned of my mistake. I supported him in Afganistan and Iraq. I was a slighlty liberal republican on personal issues and conservative along government matters, but no more. I loved John McCain for his service and strenght and looked forward to him as Prez in '08. Sorry, when he backed that idiot in the White House on "stay the course" and because I care about my fellow soldiers they called me a "cut and run, terrorist sympathizer" they can kiss my big, fat, hairy behind.
But the one common denominater I see is ..mistake after mistake after mistake. And no one takes responsibilty for it. It takes GWB 30 minutes of provacation to admit in an interveiw, we were wrong about WMD's in Iraq. Come on... admit the mistakes..and move on. Be honest for a change..or should I say..for the first time. We are all human..atleast most of us.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tnbtc.blogspot.com/2006/10/how-stupid-can-one-man-be-apparently.html' title='How stupid can one man be?
